I have always been passionate about candles and fascinated by the atmosphere that a candle can create, I’ve always had an olfactory memory, maybe that’s what determined my love and pleasure for their embracing warmth. I believe that aromas are a fundamental part of the identity of a place and it is also through them that we shape our memories and emotions.
I’ve always lived family intimacy as the exact centre of my life, my essential strength, the fulcrum to which define my happiness, my well-being, my serenity.
I’m also a strongly symbolic person and I believe that objects go beyond their materiality and that they are the mouthpiece of profound meaning. As a child, I loved to surround myself with elements of intense iconic evocation, able to enrich and represent the most beautiful moments and places.
For me true happiness is what we live in family and home, with all those objects that represent our history made of love and the people we love.
The heart of the family beats to the rhythm of the vital energy of the woman. My Lila Franklin candles are also my way of paying homage to the female figure in its entirety as Woman, Mother, Wife, the cornerstone of family balance. guardian of past and future genetic memory, home pillar. For this reason, I have chosen to name each of my collections with a feminine name.
Making exclusive handmade candles it is the most personal and emotional way that I chose to make my vision tangible, a vision made of intense flames, personalised fragrances, elegant designs and a deep rooted love for home, family and life. For me, candles are warmth, light, serenity and this is what I want to share with you all.
